‘Memories of the Peak District’

The below images are all original acrylic on canvas paintings featured in my solo exhibition ‘Memories of the Peak District’ at The Courtney Gallery, in Ashbourne Courtney Gallery | Art Gallery and Café. Exhibition dates are 12th October - 2nd November 2024.

I spent my early years growing up in the Peak District, before moving to the Highlands aged 10. This collection explores those early childhood memories as I return as an adult to some of the places I remember. My earliest paintings are of Robin Hood’s Stride, and while not featured here, I enjoyed painting scenes from that area again 20 years later.
